Wedding Flowers: Surrey

As a wedding florist in Guildford we are ideally placed for all of Surrey’s  wedding venues.   We can create all your wedding flowers, but are especially skilled at large creative pieces such as flower arches, impressive staircase décor and suspended floral displays.  These are the showstoppers that will draw the attention of your guests. They will also feature prominently in your wedding photos and in your guests social media.

Weddings

We create luxury flower installations but at a fraction of the cost of using fresh flowers. The large focal pieces will consume most of your wedding flowers budget, but  our bespoke flower arches start at only £250.00  These are created to your requirements and look incredibly realistic.

Sometimes our clients request a “hybrid” solution.  This is where the bridal party will carry fresh flowers but the expensive focal displays are created with faux flowers.  We can create all or part of your wedding flowers.  We only use sustainable and seasonal flowers for the fresh floral elements.

Equally, we are happy to work with another florist and provide the larger pieces that we can match to their original remit.

your wedding budget

If you are newly engaged, you may want to know what you will need to consider in your wedding flowers budget. We have created a handy checklist below to help.

BRIDAL PARTY

BRIDAL BOUQUET

The most important floral piece at the wedding.  This will feature in most of the formal photos and set the floral theme of the day.

BRIDESMAIDS BOUQUETS

Usually a simpler version of the bridal bouquet.  The number of bridesmaids can make an impact on the overall budget so if you have a large amount of maids and a tight budget you might want to consider wrist corsages as an alternative.

GROOMS BUTTONHOLE

Usually more extravagant than the groomsmen.

BUTTONHOLES

For Father of the Bride, Bestman/men, ushers and any one else that you feel is important and you would like to acknowledge.

CORSAGES

Traditionally for the Mothers of both bride and groom but also a lovely gesture for any female grandparents.  These can be fixed to a lapel, wrist or bag.

VENUE DECORATION

CEREMONY & CHURCH DECOR

This can consist of many different elements.  The trick here is to ensure that most of the flowers are at the very front where guests are facing and the photos taken.  Also, to get the best out of your budget, chose pieces that can be reused later on the day:

FLOWER ARCH

This will give a huge impact and makes for an amazing back drop for vows and ceremony photos.  This remain in situ for a photo  opportunity for guests later on or moved to frame the top table/create an ornate entrance.

BROKEN ARCH

This is a variation on the flower arch, this is very easy to move and can be frame the entrance to the wedding breakfast or the cake table.

URN DISPLAY ON PLINTHS

This is a more traditional framing method but equally stunning.  An option if your ceremony is held in an ornate room and you don’t want to hide the detailing.  Urns can be moved and placed in prominent positions after the ceremony.

ASILE DECORATION

This can really add up, especially if you have a long aisle.  I would add this to a “nice to have” list and reconsider once you have considered costs of the other floral elements.  Again, pew ends can be repurposed later in the day.  Chair decoration can be moved to the top table, this makes it look extra special.  Or floor based aisle decorations can be moved to the base of a long top table to add drama.

WEDDING BREAKFAST

TABLE PLAN

Sometimes framed with flowers or a posy.

TOP TABLE

Usually this table is more extravagant than the surrounding guest tables.  It can be either long or round.  There are many display options here at varying price points.

GUEST TABLES

These floral decorations can take a chunk out of the budget so be aware if you are inviting lots of guests.  You can opt between low displays that guests can chat over or tall towering displays that create a huge impact on the overall look of the room.

CAKE DECORATION

Ranging from cake toppers to decorative garlands. Not always necessary if you have purchased an ornate cake.

PRESENTATION BOUQUETS

Sometimes given to parents or the bride and groom or other people of importance as part of the speeches.
